“I was on campus that memorable day. I was a resident at Almetris Co-op and was heading to a class. It was a bright sunny day. I had walked about a block (in the Hogg Auditorium vicinity) when I encountered some people who said someone was shooting from the Tower.
I had heard a couple of shots but did not recognize them as shots/anything harmful.
I turned around and headed back to Almetris. I stayed inside Almetris until we were notified it was safe to return to normal activities.
I did not understand mass murder of innocent people then, I do not understand mass murder of innocent people now.”
